چکیده

Currently, elderly people of 65 years and older constitute 29.1% Japan’s population. Frail patients are 8.7% all older. Frailty is a weak state both physically mentally. The probability illness increases with age. Pole walking an exercise designed to improve muscle strength thereby prevent frailty in people. This study applied musculoskeletal model analysis during pole normal clarify training effects balance effects. Seven 35 plug-in gait markers attached the body surface were examined for this study. Normal measured using three-dimensional motion system (Vicon Motion Systems) two force plates. Position data acquired at velocities 58, 77, 96 bpm. Measured analyzed software (OpenSim) procedures: scaling, inverse kinematics, residual reduction algorithm, dynamics, computer control. Results obtained indicate details force, lower limb joint moments, lumbar moments walking. effective muscles working against gravity cases speed (58 bpm). However, higher (96 bpm) associated better conditions training.

[Nordic pole walking injuries--nordic walking thumb as novel injury entity].

BACKGROUND Nordic pole Walking (NW) as trend sport is associated with beneficial effects on the cardiovascular system. Data regarding the injury and overload injury rates are pending. METHODS 137 athletes (74 % females, 53 +/- 12 years, weight 73 +/- 13 kg, height 169 +/- 11 cm) were prospectively ask using a two-sided questionnaire. Mean NW experience was 212.8 weeks with 2.9 +/- 1.8 hours/w...

Comparison of the Effects of Walking with and without Nordic Pole on Upper Extremity and Lower Extremity Muscle Activation

[Purpose] The aim of this study was to assess the effect of Nordic pole walking on the electromyographic activities of upper extremity and lower extremity muscles. [Subjects and Methods] The subjects were randomly divided into two groups as follows: without Nordic pole walking group (n=13) and with Nordic pole walking group (n=13). The EMG data were collected by measurement while the subjects w...

Comparison of Gait and Feet during Nordic Pole Walking and Unassisted Walking on a Treadmill

[Purpose] The purpose of this study was to examine the degrees of changes in the gait and feet when walking on a treadmill using Nordic poles and without Nordic poles for 30 minutes. [Subjects] The participants of this study were 30 young adult males. The subjects were divided into a Nordic pole walking group of 15 subjects and a normal walking group of 15 subjects. [Methods] The subjects in bo...

The converse effects of speed and gravity on the energetics of walking and running

The energetic cost of transport for walking is highly sensitive to speed but relatively insensitive to changes in gravity level. Conversely, the cost of transport for running is highly sensitive to gravity level but not much to speed. Gait optimization with a minimally constrained bipedal model predicts a similar differential energetic response for walking and running even though the same model...
